I will not wake you early
When you really want to sleep
I will not paw your eyeballs.....
I will not make a peep

I will not scratch the couch you love
nor will I scratch the chair
I will just scratch the scratching post
That's always sitting there

I will not beg for people food
Then not give it a try
I will not gripe about the kind
Of  food you choose to buy

I will not sleep upon the stairs
And cause you to take flight
In case you have to make a "trip"
So late into the night

I will not knock your thingys down
So pretty on the shelf
(Of course you could just move them
So I can't do that myself)

And so I do resolve this year
To become naughty free
Of course I know, that if I fail
That you will still love me.
